I have the EU disc as a rip and when I verify in XLD, I get this: The discography of English rock band Pink Floyd consists of 14 studio albums (one of which is a mixture of live and studio), three live albums (not re-counting the mixed album), six compilations, three box sets, one EP, 26 singles, 10 music. When we were buying The First XI box set on vinyl 40 something years ago. Badly clouded and rough to the touch, strange coloured spots and because there were small shards of silver all over the trays it looked like the playing surface was disintegrating or something. It was from Europe and everything was as it should be but when I inspected the discs six out of eight of them had some severe chemical reaction happening on the playing surface. Middle of last year I decided to buy a sealed one. Never saw any issues with the playing surface of the discs on those sets and never heard of any. When Pink Floyd followed up its 1988 live 'Delicate Sound of Thunder' album with 'Shine On' (1992), a box set containing reissues of seven previous albums, eager Floyd fans began to wonder if the group, and its record company, had plans of putting out something new ever again. Never got it at at release so all the ones I bought and sold have been opened. Four Pink Floyd CD albums were released on MFSL. I've had a few of these boxes go through my hands over the last 2o years or so. Had an issue with the Shine On box recently.
